In case any of you missed these, Gene posted another blog and Bernie has two new posts up.

Gene Burns Blog at KKSF Newstalk 910-AM:

Newest entry dated Wednesday, May 30, 2012, Let’s Lift the Veil of Mostra! – on the topic of Immigration

Bernie Ward’s blog, The Lion of the Left Speaks, has two new posts:

Blog post dated Sunday, May 27, 2012 about Facebook’s IPO and the financial industry

http://lionoftheleft.blogspot.com/2012/05/well-kept-secret.html

Looks like I missed two of these earlier posts on Bernie’s Blog, so I’ll link them here as well:

Blog post dated Wednesday, May 16, 2012 about the Catholic Church and Georgetown University’s invited speakers

http://lionoftheleft.blogspot.com/2012/05/sacred-double-standards.html

Blog post dated Wednesday, May 23, 2012 about a review on three-strikes (with a bit of Ronn Owens bashing thrown in) as well as college loan debt and thoughts on Obama

Now, onto another blog.  As I’ve said before the 415 Media blog’s redeeming quality is not the writer of the blog (who is now begging for contributions) but the quality of the comments.  I read it for those comments, even when attached to some of the ridiculous posts, such as those about selecting the hottest news anchor crap or his failed attempts at humor, such as the recent post about zombies.  yuck, not funny.

Two recent comments over there were interesting.  One was attached to his money begging post:

“Anonymous commented on June 3, 2012 3:44 AM

“Is anyone interested in weighing in on the “Gil (Gross) and Ro” show Fridays on 910?” “

and the commenter gives his/her thoughts about Gil Gross hosting his Friday shows with his wife, Rhoda.

OOPS!  Looks like the comment was deleted before I could post this.  I’ve already deleted a copy of the comment as well, oh well, but these were my thoughts on it (the commenter was saying he didn’t like it when Rhoda co-hosted the show).

I hate to say it, but I agree with some of what the commenter says.  Although Rhoda makes some good points during the show, it’s always as if she’s inserting herself into a balanced conversation and it disrupts the flow of the show by her abrupt inclusion of her own thoughts.  Maybe it is the off-putting sound of her voice on the radio.  Her pitch is a bit high and, to me, sounds almost whiny but it’s not unlistenable.  I hate to say it because I love Gil Gross on the radio, but I’m always disappointed to hear that Rhoda will be co-hosting on Fridays.

And, on another note, I did hear this on the television the other day and thought, I must have misheard it.  Guess I didn’t because this comment on the 415 blog confirmed it:

This is the link to the post (another one of his leering ‘hot’ posts about our local broadcasters):

And, this was the comment I noticed:

(I censored the word that was used)

“Comment by AnonymousJune 2, 2012 11:31 PM

ROFLMAO!!! I cannot believe that they let the Sandberg “I’m on a mother f***ing boat” clip slip through the 7 second delay tonight. Very nice work guys.”

Finally, for those missing John Rothmann on the radio, he sat in for Gil Gross on May 28, 2012 for three hours.  Here’s a link to the first hour podcast:

In case these links do not work as they advance in pages when more shows are added (I hope they continue to link months from now), this is the link to the page of Podcasts:

While there, be sure to check out Ed Baxter’s commentaries from his new feature Making Sense with Ed Baxter.  They are four minute clips of his thoughts that are added to Gil’s show.

Two interesting topics on Gil’s show this week:

One topic, on Friday, June 1, 2012, in his second hour he discusses the horrific face-eating news item and its tie-in with bath salts.  His guest, LA medical director, Dr. Rangan, explains this new drug.  It begins mid-show and you can advance the show to whatever time you want.

Here’s a lighter moment of news:

Gil Gross Program, Hour 1, May 30, 2012:

At 16:55 on the podcast, a cute little news item about a sharpdressedpig with its own twitter account

Then, to end this recap on a higher note, Gil Gross Program, Hour 3, May 30, 2012, beginning at 23:45 on the podcast Gil talks about a Wichita garage sale that’s not about making millions on a antique but something much more thought-provoking.  Remember, it starts around 23:45:
